Thanks for restack. Words vanish so quickly if not memorized or written down.

soothing in the balm of friendship

falling upwards— up and into one other

seen, encouraged, felt

Thank you TSIM, this is beautiful, uplifting and a reminder of the power (and gentleness) of we. I love your music suggestions too, always something that helps transcend the doldrums of the day.

(And a humble thanks for your kind words on my writing 🙏🏽)

Yes, it's true what you said, that the "disconnect is part of our intergenerational legacy and culture. Wise words in that paragraph. Most of my ancestors - especially the women, came from Ireland (to Australia) in the 1850's. Seven generations of half-buried feelings. I will listen to that podcast too. Thanks for the recommendation.

That's nice Edgar. I'm writing something on 'hope' just now, isn't this our constant forgetting? we almost need daily / hourly reminders about what is always there.

Beautiful poem…love this stanza.

darkness speaks its own name

so we can feel our lives

in songs, it ripples—

in thrills we coalesce where we belong

This meditation was such a balm today as I sat in treatment. The music selections were better than usual (I don't like rappy or sappy).
